Jay Debate places 2nd Overall at Parkway West
Congratulations are in order for the Jay Debate Team. This past weekend, the Jay Debate Team traveled to Parkway West High School to participate in their annual tournament. A total of 27 schools were in attendance. After all the rounds were over, the Jay Debate Team placed 2nd Overall!

Individual Accomplishments are Below:

Varsity Humorous: Nate Boyd placed 5th

Varsity Dramatic: Kennedi White placed 4th, Glory Nkwocha placed 5th

Varsity DUO: David Tiethoff & Quentin Trull placed 4th,  Malachi Saint & Nate Boyd placed 5th

Novice Interp: Thomas Welch placed 1st, August Grantham placed 3rd,  Kate Bailey placed 4th,  Nick Kruse placed 5th

Novice Prose/Poetry: Joel Brown placed 1st J’Anna Lewis placed 2nd

Varsity Oratory: Samarth Sinha was a Semi-Finalist

Novice Oratory: Rylie Rustemeyer placed 1st, Deonnah Decker placed 4th, Kaitlin Bonnet was a Semi-Finalist,  Chris Larivee was a Semi-Finalist,  Dakota Barfield was a Semi-Finalist

Varsity Informative: Graham Bond placed 1st,  Clara Scovill placed 5th

Novice Informative: Josie Sickler placed 1st,  Jada Otiker placed 3rd

Varsity Foreign Extemp: Adi Pillai placed 4th,  Amulya Agrawal was a Semi-Finalist

Novice Extemp: Cameron Day was a Semi-Finalist

Novice Radio: Cameron Day placed 4th

Varsity Congress: Ainsley Corwin placed 5th,  Hobert Frohman made it to Super-Session (Finals)

Varsity Policy: Ainsley Corwin & Graham Bond placed 2nd

Novice Policy: Cameron Day & Chris Larivee placed 1st

Varsity Lincoln-Douglas: David Tiethoff placed 3rd,  Zach Lovelace placed 4th

Novice Lincoln-Douglas: Deonnah Decker placed 3rd

Novice Public Forum: Thomas Welch & Jada Otiker placed 4th
