POTOSI — The pack for the Jefferson City Jays was the lead pack Saturday in the Potosi Invitational.
Tommy Roehl (16:50), Dawson Schulte (17:12), Blake Conrad (17:16), Blaine Smallwood (17:16) and Pat Malone (17:19) finished in the top five spots as the Jays won the team title with 15 points.
Will Roehl was 14th (17:47) and Andrew Nield finished 23rd (18:05) in the 101-runner race.
Steelville was runner-up with 85 points in the 13-team field.
The Jefferson City girls finished fourth with 86 points as Farmington took the team title with 34 points in the nine-team field.
Jackie Hensley paced the Lady Jays in seventh with a time of 20:50. Josie Starr finished 16th (21:46), Michelle Grant was 22nd (22:16), Maddie Showers placed 29th (22:40) and Saneya Winters was 31st (22:50) to score for Jefferson City.
Chasity Pendleton finished 43rd (23:33) out of 80 competitors.
Henry Stier of Jefferson City won the boys JV race in 18:41.
Ellie Plune led the Lady Jays in the JV race with a fifth-place finish (23:28).
